Loco master, 2 others of CU shuttle train rescued after abduction
The loco master, assistant loco master, and guard of a Chittagong University shuttle train were released four hours after their abduction.
Chittagong Railway Police Superintendent Mahmud Hasan Chowdhury confirmed the information to The Daily Star.
"The abductors released them in a CNG-run autorickshaw," he said.
He also said that police are investigating to identify who did it.
They were earlier allegedly abducted around 8 am today (August 1, 2022). The three were identified as guard Emadul Haque, loco master Abu Taher and assistant loco master Punya Jati Chakma.
According to the railway sources, shuttle train number 131 left Chattogram Puratan (Battali Railway) Station this morning around 8 am.
When the train reached Jhautala area, some youths in a white private car came and picked up the three. Since this incident, train movement on that route was suspended.
