Shahjahan Miah removed from DSCC administrator and Wasa MD posts

Transferred to disaster management ministry as additional secretary

Md Shahjahan Miah has been removed from his roles as administrator of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and managing director of Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (Wasa).

He has been transferred to the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief as an additional secretary, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration today.

The order, issued in the public interest, takes immediate effect, the notification said.

Shahjahan had been serving in three capacities -- DSCC administrator, Wasa managing director, and additional secretary at the Local Government Division.

He was appointed DSCC administrator on February 13 this year, while retaining his post at the Local Government Division. On May 18, he was also given charge of Dhaka Wasa.
