Khaleda Zia attends Armed Forces Day event at Senakunja

BNP Chairperson and former prime minister Khaleda Zia attended the Armed Forces Day event at Dhaka's Senakunja this afternoon.

She left her Gulshan residence around 4:00pm and reached the venue around 4:44pm, reports our correspondent from the spot

BNP Media Cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan confirmed the details.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and members of the party's Standing Committee have also joined the programme.

Before the event, Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia held a meeting on the sidelines of a reception programme, said Chief Adviser's Press Wing.

During the meeting, the chief adviser inquired about the physical condition of the former prime minister and wished for her full recovery.

Khaleda Zia thanked Prof Yunus, inquired about the physical condition of his wife Afrozi Yunus and wished her well.

Khaleda Zia's youngest daughter-in-law Syeda Sharmila Rahman was present at the time.

After the event, the BNP chief returned to her residence around 5:37pm, BNP media cell said.
