Dilan president, Irfan GS of Banani Society

Shawkat Ali Bhuiyan (Dilan) and Irfan Islam have been elected president and general secretary of the Banani Society for 2026 and 2027, as the "Dilan-Irfan Panel" swept all 21 posts in the biennial election, said a press release.

The election took place on November 8 at the Banani Model School ground.

Voting began at 12:30pm after the general meeting and continued till 5:00pm, with results announced in the evening.   Other winners include vice presidents Md Asadullah Shikder, SM Shamsuddin Bahar, and Tanvir Ahmed Khan; joint general secretaries Mamun Akbar and Rezaur Rahman Fahim; treasurer Shafiquzzaman Ratan; and joint treasurer Dr Shahed Haider Chowdhury.
