China to invest more in Bangladesh

Noting that a politically stable government has been established in Bangladesh, Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen yesterday said China will increase its investment in the country.

He made the remarks during a courtesy call on Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed at the ministry.

Salahuddin, in turn, called upon Chinese investors to invest more in Bangladesh.

The home minister said China and Bangladesh are time-tested friends, and Bangladesh wants to take the bilateral relationship to a new level, considering regional, strategic, and geographical realities.
