375kg banned polythene seized in Ctg

The Department of Environment seized around 375 kilogrammes of banned polythene during an enforcement drive in Chattogram yesterday.

A team from the DoE's Chattogram Metropolitan Office raided Khaza Enterprise in Shahjalal Residential Area under Bayezid Bostami and made the seizure.

"We are taking firm action against the production of banned polythene, an active threat to our ecosystem. Such drives will continue," said Moktadir Hasan, assistant director of DoE's Chattogram office.
