South Sudan seeks broader ties with Bangladesh

South Sudanese President Salva Kiir Mayardit has invited more investment and engagement from the government and entrepreneurs of Bangladesh.

He also stated that they would consider reinforcing the diplomatic relations by opening representations at both the capitals.

The president made the remarks when Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen, who is on an official visit to the country, met him in Juba, South Sudan on Saturday.

They discussed the total gamut of the bilateral relations and agreed to further strengthen the bilateral engagements.

Earlier, Momen met his South Sudan counterpart Dr Mariam al-Sadiq al-Mahdi.
