Missing NGO worker still traceless

A female NGO worker, who went missing from Tangail's Bhuanpur upazila over a week ago, still remains traceless.

Victim Mira Khatun, 32, wife of Razib Miah of Salenga area in Kalihati upazila, has been serving as a senior field organizer at Falda branch of Society for Social Service, a non-governmental organization (NGO).

Bonya Akter, manager of the NGO's Falda branch, said Mira has been working at the branch office for the last one and a half years.

She went out of the office for field works at Jhanjhania and Maizbari villages in Bhuanpur upazila on November 20 and remained missing since then.

A general diary (GD) was filed with Bhuanpur Police Station in this regard, she said.

OC of Bhuanpur PS Abdul Wahab said they were investigation the matter and also trying to trace the whereabouts of the missing woman.
