Two more Turag fire victims die

Two more people, who were injured two days earlierin a fire following an explosion at a shop in the capital's Turag area, died at a city hospital yesterday.

Mizanur Rahman, 35, breathed his last around 12:45am and Masum Mia, 38, around 8:00pm at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, said resident surgeon SM Aiyub Hossain.

They suffered 95 percent burns on their bodies, he added.

With him, five out of eight injured have died so far.

On Saturday, the explosion took place at a scrap material shop in Kamarpara area when some perfume bottles somehow came in contact with fire. The fire later spread to an adjacent rickshaw garage.
