Man stabbed to death

A man was stabbed to death on Friday night in Dinajpur's Hakimpur upazila, said police.

The deceased is Bahauddin Sarkar (35) of Mathpara village.

Quoting locals, police said Bahauddin was sitting in front of a local club on Friday night. Suddenly, a youth named Md Emon appeared and locked in an altercation with him.

At one point, Emon pulled out a knife, stabbed Bahauddin and fled the spot.

Locals said the two had previous enmity. 

Bahauddin passed away on way to a hospital, said Shariful Islam, inspector (Investigation) of Hakimpur police station.

He said police are looking for Emon, who is on the run. A case was filed.
