Man hit, killed by train

A man died after a train hit him in Joypurhat's Akkelpur upazila on Monday night.

Monirul Islam, 34, a scrap collector, was returning home when a train hit him at the rail crossing in Jamalganj village, confirmed Moktar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Kalai police station.

Police recovered his body and handed it over to his family members yesterday.
