Konabari warehouse fire under control after 3 hrs

A fire that broke out at a warehouse used for storing garment leftover (Jhoot) in Konabari area in Gazipur this evening has been brought under control.

Seven fire-fighting units brought the blaze fire under control around 9:15pm, said Abdullah Al Arefin, deputy assistant director of Gazipur Fire Service and Civil Defence.

The fire originated at the tin-shed warehouse around 6:20pm, said Rozina Akter, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters.

The cause of the fire could not be known immediately, she said.
