Fire at Bosila shoe factory doused

A fire that broke out at a shoe factory at Bosila in Dhaka's Mohammadpur area last night (June 6, 2022) has been doused after two hours of frantic efforts.

The fire broke out at the tin-shed house of Ahmed footwear Ltd -- located on rooftop of a three-storey building-- around 10:30pm yesterday, Abdul Mannan, senior station officer of Mohammadur Fire Service, told The Daily Star.

On information, two firefighting rushed to the spot and doused the blaze around 12:45am, the official said.

The reason behind the fire and the extent of losses from it could not be assessed immediately, he added.
