Chemical warehouse inaugurated in Shyampur

A temporary warehouse has been inaugurated at Shyampur to store chemical products.

Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun and Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh inaugurated the warehouse today.

The project began in March 2019 and was completed recently. Under the project, 54 warehouses and two three-storey office buildings have been constructed with the aim to shift chemical factories and warehouses in Old Dhaka to a safe place at the earliest.

State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder, local lawmaker Syed Abu Hossain, Industries Secretary Zakia Sultana, Project Contractor Narayanganj Dockyard and Engineering Works Limited Managing Director Commodore Md Abdullah Al Maksus and BCIC Chairman Md Saidur Rahman were present at the inaugural ceremony.
