Bus driver arrested over three deaths in Ctg road crash

Police arrested the bus driver over the death of three people in a road accident in the port city's EPZ area on March 6.

Khorshed Alam, 30, was arrested from Fatikchhari upazila.

Md Hasan Chowdhury, superintendent of Chattogam Railway Police said, the railway police with the help of local police arrested Khorshed in the Datamara area of Fatikchhari upazila on Sunday night.

On March 6, three people, Azizul Haque, 30, a pointsman of Bangladesh Railway, and two passengers, Md Asaduzzaman, 30, and Miton Kanti Dey, 25, were killed when a bus overturned after hitting an oil-laden wagon on Newmooring level crossing around 9:30pm.
