A leading English medium school in the capital is going to introduce 'tracking system', the first of its kind in the country, to help guardians know whether their children are attending or dodging classes. "We are going to introduce the system in our school with the technical assistance of a Japanese company by December to cope with the modern world," said GM Nizam Uddin, the principal of Oxford International School. With the introduction of radio frequency identification (RFDI)-based tracking system, the guardians would monitor the activities of their children studying at the school online or through mobile phone having internet facilities, said Sarkar Abul Bashar, president and CEO of ITA Inc, the Japanese firm which is setting up the system at the OIS. Nizam said his school also took up a project titled 'One Student One Laptop' to provide students with laptops at low cost. Besides, he said, efforts to bring the school under full automation are going on in full swing with the technical assistance of the ITA Inc.
