Abducted man's body recovered
Body of a man, abducted 12 days ago, was recovered from a shop at Kajazpukur bazar under Benapole port police station yesterday.
The deceased was Badal Hossain, 35, who used to ferry people on motorbike for fare.
Acting officer in-charge (OC) KM Faruque Hossain of Benapole port police station said, they recovered the body of Badal from under earth at grocery shop.
Badal, son of Islam Ali of Kandappur in Sharsha, went missing on February 4. Police detained one Malek along with the stolen motorbike yesterday morning. Later following his confession, police recovered the body from the shop in the afternoon.
Angry locals vandalised and set at least six shops on fire.
On Friday, police recovered the body of a youth from a field at Dikdana village in Jhikargachha upazila of the district.
The deceased was identified as Tariqul Islam, 24, son of Ramjan Ali of Pardia village in Manirampur upazila.
