Jamaat-Shibir men sued
A case was filed against 207 activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir in connection with Friday's clash with police in the town.
Police filed the case against 27 identified and 180 unidentified activists of Jamaat-Shibir on charges of attacking police and obstructing police from performing their duties on Friday night.
Police said a clash broke out with Jamaat-Shibir men when they brought out a procession on Friday afternoon.
In Manikganj, three Shibir activists were arrested in the district yesterday morning.
They are Sana Ullah of Taluknagar village, Yusuf Mia of Chak-Mirpur village under Daulatpur upazila of Manikganj district and Jahirul Islam of Nagarpur in Tangail district, reports our correspondent.
Police arrested them from Shahid Titumir Academy where they were holding a meeting.
