Three outlaws held with arms in Pabna

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested three operatives of outlawed Purbo Banglar Communist Part (PBCP-red flag) in Ataikula upazila of the district on Tuesday night and seized three firearms and two knives from their possession. The arrestees are Md Anwarul Islam, 40, son of Yusuf Mollah of Teligram village, Jahangir Alam, 38, son of Abdur Rahim, and Md Yakub Ali, 32, son of Azar Pramanik of Goyeshbari village in the upazila. Acting on a tip-off, a team of Rab-12, led by Captain Md Masudur Rahman, raided a bamboo orchard at Goyesgbari village at around 9:30pm where the outlawed operatives were holding a meeting. During the drive, the elite force arrested three operatives of outlawed PBCP (red flag) and seized two one barrel guns, one light gun (LG), four bullets and two knives from their possession, said a press release issued by Rab-12 yesterday. Rab handed the three over to Ataikula Police and deposited the seized firearms, bullets and knives with the police station.
