Girl commits 'suicide'
A girl allegedly committed suicide at Dashkahunia village in Keshabpur upazila on Friday as she could not pass this year's Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examination.
The deceased was identified as Lima Khatun, 13, daughter of Sheikh Aktarul Hossain of the village.
Quoting family members, police said Lima, a class VIII student of Sannyasgachha Mohila Dakhil Madrasa, went to the institute on Thursday to know her result that was published on the day.
But she returned home upset as she failed in the examination and hanged herself from the ceiling of her room on Friday evening.
