15 held while leaving for Malaysia by boat
Members of Bangladesh Coastguard arrested 15 people in Kaiukkhali canal of Teknaf upazila while trying to leave for Malaysia on Sunday night.
They also seized an engine boat from their possession.
Of the arrestees, two hailed from Myanmar and the rest from different villages in Teknaf, Ukhia and Sadar upazilas.
Meanwhile, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members in separate drives arrested 11 Myanmar nationals from bordering Tumbru and Ghundhum areas and sent them back to their country yesterday morning.
