Boy killed by stepmother
A minor boy was allegedly strangled by his stepmother at Laharkandi village in Sadar upazila on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Farad, 10, student of Class II and son of Sekandar of the village.
Locals said Sekandar bought some warm clothes for his two sons. A quarrel took place between him and his second wife Fateha Begam over the issue.
As a sequel to this, Fateha strangled Farad, Sekandar's son from his first marriage, at night and then hung the body from the ceiling of the house to prove the murder as a case of suicide.
