Man kills wife, surrenders to police
A man surrendered to police after killing his wife in Kalai upazila of Joypurhat district early yesterday.
The deceased, Sheuli Begum, 26, was an expecting wife of Helal Uddin of Takaur-Damapara village.
Quoting locals, Toriqul Islam, officer in-charge of Kalai police station, said Helal stabbed Sheuli indiscriminately, leaving her dead on the spot. The incident took place when Sheuli was asleep.
Later, mentally challenged Helal surrendered to police.
