Man stabbed dead in Sylhet
Some fellow villagers stabbed a man to death over land dispute at Tetli Uttarpara village in Dakshin Surma upazila Tuesday night.
The deceased was Abdul Malek, 35. He had a long-running rivalry over the ownership of a disputed piece of land with Abdul Kader, 30.
The victim's family said Kader called Malek to his [Kader's] home that night, and with some 7-8 others knifed him. He died en route to hospital.
Police arrested Kader. He and seven others were sued yesterday.
