Prisoner dies at hospital
An under-trial prisoner died at Patuakhali hospital early yesterday. The dead, Abul Kashem, 60, of Bibirhowla village in Galachipa upazila, was an accused in a robbery case. Jailor Shamsul Alom said Kashem fell sick following a chest pain at about 3:15am. He was rushed to the hospital where the doctors declared him dead, said the jailor.
