BAU students agitate
Students of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) in the district yesterday besieged the administrative office, protesting admission fee hike. Under the banner of Progatishil Chhatra Jote, leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra Union and Samajtantrik Chhatra Front of BAU units along with general students held the programme in the morning. They also protested the price hike of admission forms. At the programme, the protesters said the authorities increased the price of application forms from Tk 550 to Tk 800 while admission fee from Tk 1825 to Tk 6214 for 2012-13 session.
