Two shops gutted
Two shops were gutted in a fire at Public Library intersection in Monirampur upazila on Friday night. Police said the fire originated at Samrat Khan's shop at about 11:30pm and soon engulfed a stationery stall. On information, firefighters rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze with the help of locals. The affected shop owners claimed that the loss caused by the fire could go up to Tk 5 lakh.
