College girl 'commits suicide'
A college girl allegedly committed suicide in Pirgachha upazila on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Nazmin Nahar Smriti, 22, daughter of Ruhul Amin Talukdar of Upashu village under Kalyani union.
She was an honours second year student at Government Begum Rokeya College in the district.
According to Pirgachha police and family sources, Nazmin was suffering from a painful disease for long.
Failing to bear it anymore, she committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her room.
After postmortem police handed over the body to her family members.
