Under trial prisoner dies

An under trial prisoner died at Pabna Medical College and Hospital yesterday morning. The dead, Sharif Miah, 40, of village Roghunathpur in Muktagachha upazila of Mymensingh district, was accused in a criminal case. On June 19, Sharif was shifted to Pabna jail from Mymensingh jail as he was suffering from mental disease for long, said jailer Md Abdul Barik. He was admitted to the hospital due to his illness on July 27, he added.
