Youth hacked to death
A youth was hacked to death by business rivals at Soilat village in Shreepur upazila on Sunday night. The victim was identified as Abul Kalam, 32, son of late Ayub Ali of the same village. Kalam used to supply construction materials to industries. Victim's friend Babul, 50, and brother-in-law Abdul Kuddus, 47, were also injured during the attack. Around 15 people waylaid and attacked them with sharp weapons, killing Kalam on the spot, police said.
