JCD activist stabbed
Activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), student wing of ruling Awami League, stabbed a Chhatra Dal activist at Bagbari point in the city on Sunday. The victim was Juned Ahmed, 23, an activist of JCD and a student of 4th year at law department in Sylhet International University. Locals said a gang of BCL men stabbed Juned about 2 pm, leaving him critically wounded. The reason behind the attack could not be known immediately. The victim was rushed to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
