Officer in-charge of Madhupur police station Amirul Islam Dewan was closed to the district police line on Sunday night on charge of attempting to rape his domestic help. According to a case filed by the victim, Amirul tried to violate the woman on June 18. After taking the case into cognisance, Judge Mohsin Mollah of Women and Children Oppression Court asked the superintendent of police to submit a report before him over the allegation within seven working days.
