Stove explosion kills hotel boy
A young man was killed and another sustained severe burn injuries as a kerosene stove went off at Ranirbandar village in Chirirbandar upazila yesterday morning.
The deceased, Abdul Majid, 22, hailed from Koimari village under Rangpur Sadar upazila and injured Abdul Nur is a resident of Nasratpur village under Chirirbandar.
Police said the fuel tank of the stove exploded at Islam Bistannya Bhandar, a roadside restaurant in the area at around 8:00am, leaving the two hotel boys critically injured.
They were rushed to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital where the doctors declared Majid dead.
