<i>Sad death of a newly-wed woman</i>
A newly-wed woman was crushed under the wheels of a truck on Monday.
The incident happened only three days after her marriage, said family members.
She was killed when she went to visit Teesta Barrage at Daliya village of Hatibandha upazila with her husband on a motorbike.
Police said Disha Begum, 18, daughter of Babul Hossain of Ramonignj village, was married to Lebu Miah, 27, son of Abdul Aziz village Purbo Sarodubi on Friday night.
The truck rammed the couple in the area, leaving Disha dead on the spot and Lebu injured critically.
However, the driver along with his truck managed to flee the scene immediately after the incident.
