Criminals kill woman, hurt husband, son
Local criminals yesterday killed a woman and injured her husband and son at Sastarkhalkul village in Terokhada upazila.
The deceased was identified as Nahar Begum, 45, wife of Abdul Mannan Sheikh, 46, of Barasat village in the same upazila.
Locals and police said, Mannan had an enmity with his neighbours over a piece of land.
Earlier Mannan was attacked allegedly by his neighbours and was forced to leave his native Barasat village along with his family and settle at neighbouring Sastarkhalkul, they said.
Yesterday at dead of night, a gang of local criminals stormed into Mannan's house and hacked Mannan, Nahar an their 10-year-old son Hasibur indiscriminately.
They were admitted to KMCH where duty doctor declared Nahar dead.
