Eight held on border
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested eight people, including women and children, from Putkhali border while they were illegally entering Bangladesh territory from India yesterday afternoon. Sources at Putkhali camp said, acting on a secret information, a team conducted a drive in Balur Math border area and arrested two children, three women and three men. The arrestees hailed from Barisal district. Later, they were handed over to Benapole port police.
