8 BRRI staff to be trained in Korea
Eight researchers and technical personnel of Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI) were sent to Korea yesterday to attend a 15-day long agriculture-related training programme.
Korea International Cooperation Agency (Koica) arranged the training, which will end on June 10, in a bid to develop the capacity of BRRI under the Koica assisted projects.
The training will promote the understanding of Korean agriculture and its development and provide the participants with a chance to learn about Korea's development strategy and the ways in which it can be applied to Bangladesh.
Koica will also instruct the participants in the dissemination of agricultural technology, marketing and income management skills.
