Sit-in at RU for loan facilities
Over hundred employees of Rajshahi University staged sit-in programme before Agrani Bank office on the campus yesterday demanding loan facilities to them.
Sources said on May 2, an agreement was signed between officer-employees of the university and the bank authorities to give 10 years long service loan facilities to them with 8 per cent interest.
But the bank authorities are yet to implement the deal.
RU Employees Union President Abdul Aziz Kiron and its General Secretary Akkas Ali also spoke at the programme.
