20 thatched houses gutted in Ctg
Twenty thatched houses were gutted in a fire in South Kashimpur area under Karnaphuli Police Station of Chittagong city early hours yesterday.
Agrabad fire officials estimated the loss at about Tk 5 lakh.
The fire was originated from the stove of a house and soon caught the adjacent ones, they said.
One fire fighting unit from Lama fire station doused the flames in two hours.
