<i>Tragic death of man, 2 sons</i>
A man and his two sons met a tragic death in a well in Kazipur upazila yesterday noon.
The deceased are Abbas Ali, 55, of Dhekuria village, his sons Maznu Fakir, 28 and Mintu Fakir, 25.
Motiar Rahman, OC of Kazipur PS, said that the Public Health Engineering Department recently dug an arsenic free well at the residence of Abbas Ali of Dhekuria village.
The authorities covered up the 30-feet deep well and warned all not to open it without permission.
Yesterday noon Abbas Ali uncovered the well and out of curiosity got down to see the condition of the water. But he failed to come out of the well and died.
One of his two sons got into the well to rescue his father but died there. Later the second son also met the same fate.
The OC said all of them died for want of oxygen.
