JSD leader killed in clash
A local JSD leader was killed and four others were injured in a clash between two rival groups of villagers at Gangnalia village in Magura Sadar upazila on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Ruhul Amin 50, president of Atharokhada union unit JSD (Inu).
Police quoting local people said, five people including Ruhul Amin were injured at around 8:00pm on Saturday when supporters of former union parishad (UP) chairman Benzir Ahmed and rival Abdur Rashid of the aforementioned village equipped with sharp weapons and sticks locked in a clash at Gangnalia bazaar in a row over demarcation of a cropland at the village.
Ruhul later died at Magura Sadar Hospital at around 11:00pm.
