Outlaw held with arms
Police arrested an alleged extremist along with a firearm and drugs at Kazipur village in Gangni upazila early yesterday.
Police said, arrestee is Gias Uddin, 35, is an activist of outlawed Purbo Banglar Communist Party (Janajuddha faction) and son of Abdur Rahim of the village.
OC of Gangni PS Golam Mustafa said, on secret information, they conducted a drive and arrested Gias from his house at about 5am. A shutter-gun, one bullet and 20 bottles of phensidyl were also recovered from him.
In Pirojpur, Rab arrested two criminals along with a gun at Udaykathi village in Sadar upazila on Monday night.
The arrestees are Iman Hossain and Nazrul Islam of the village.
Rab-8 sources said, on secret information, at team arrested them as they were moving suspiciously in the area. The team also recovered a locally-made gun from Nazrul Islam's possession.
