Farmer commits 'suicide'
A poor farmer allegedly committed suicide at
Rajapur village in Sreepur upazila early Sunday after failing to bear acute abdominal pain. The deceased was identified as Hazrat Ali, 28, of the village. Officer in-charge of Sreepur Police Station Abdus Salek and family sources said Hazrat Ali had long been suffering from stomach ache. But he could not take proper treatment due to poverty. His wife started searching for him on Sunday morning as he was not in the bed and found him hanging from the ceiling of a nearby room.
