17 from India held at Benapole
At least 17 people, including women and children, were caught at Putkhali border area in Benapole while they were illegally entering the country from India yesterday.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members, during a drive, caught the people while they were trespassing through the Putkhali border area in the morning, said Putkhali 26 BGB Camp Commander Ayub Hossain.
BGB handed over the nine men, six women and two children to Benapole Police Station and a case was filed in this regard.
