Four killed in Faridpur road accident
Four people were killed as a Barisal-bound truck hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on the Dhaka-Barisal highway at Kapuria Sadardi in Bhanga upazila yesterday morning.
The victims are Safayet Shikder, 20, Arif Molla, 22, Belayet Matbor, 25, and Delwar Fakir, 50, hailing from different villages of Bhanga upazila.
Dadon Fakir, officer-in-charge of Bhanga Police Station said a Barisal-bound speeding truck rammed an auto-rickshaw carrying them on Dhaka-Barisal highway near Bhanga Fire Service Station at around 8:30am, killing the four on the spot.
Police seized the truck but its driver managed to flee.
