Woman murdered in Rajshahi
A woman was murdered allegedly by her close relatives at Mohisbathan in the city yesterday.
The victim Rohima Khatun, 85, wife of late Amirul Islam, was found dead on her bed on the first floor of their two-storey house at around 10:00am when police rushed to spot, said Rajpara Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Selim Reja.
Her son Suaib Ali filed a case with the police station accusing her daughter Rehana Parveen Chhobi, grandson Mohammad Shetu and several other unnamed persons.
Police seized a cobra in a polythene bag and arrested Chhobi, wife of Damkura Union Parishad Chairman Mohammad Shahjahan, from the scene.
