2 die in road accidents
Two persons were killed and another was injured in two road crashes in Satkhira and Netrakona yesterday.
Our Satkhira Correspondent reports: An old man was killed in a road accident on Satkhira-Jessore road in front of Palashpole High School in Satkhira town yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Abdur Rouf, 75, of Labsa village in Sadar upazila.
A Satkhira bound bus from Kaliganj hit Rouf's bicycle while he was going to Satkhira town riding the bicycle, leaving him injured critically, said police.
He succumbed to his injuries on his way to Satkhira Sadar Hospital.
Our Netrakona Correspondent adds: One person was killed in a road accident on Netrakona-Mymensingh road at Ishobpur in Purbadhola upazila yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Liton Mia, 35, of Dhara village in the same upazila.
