87 tolas of gold seized, 2 arrested
Police recovered 87 tolas of gold and Tk 10 lakh, which were stolen from an apartment in Chittagong city, and arrested two alleged burglars in Barguna district town on Monday and Tuesday.
Abdul Kader Fakir, 55, and his son Reaz Uddin Fakir, 22, of Barguna broke into the apartment of VIP Tower in Kazir Dewri area on March 15, said Chittagong police. The burglars took the help of the flat's caretaker, Salauddin, who went absconding after the incident.
Abul Kashem, owner of the apartment, lodged a case with Kotwali Police Station on March 16.
