Three killed, 25 injured in road accidents
Three people were killed and 25 others injured in separate road accidents in Kishoreganj and Munshiganj yesterday.
Our Kishoreganj correspondent reports: A Dhaka-bound bus from Tarail fell into a ditch beside Dhaka-Kishoreganj highway in Choddashata area of the sadar upazila at around 1:00pm yesterday, killing an unidentified man aged around 45 and injuring 25 others.Of the injured, 12 were rushed to Kishoreganj Adhunik Sadar Hospital.
In another accident, Sulaiman Mia, 25, died instantly as a tractor ran over him while he was crossing the Kishoreganj-Bhairab highway at Swalpa Maria of the upazila at about 11:30am yesterday.
In Munshiganj, a truck crushed an auto-rickshaw driver Md Mahbub, 18, son of Babul Mian, while he was standing beside the road at Muktarpur in the sadar upazila yesterday morning, leaving him dead on the spot.
Following the accident, traffic movement on the road came to a halt for fifteen minutes.
