4 robbers held, arms seized
Police arrested four alleged robbers and recovered firearm from their possession in the port city on Saturday night.
The arrestees were Mohammed Selim, 28, Liakat Ali, 27, and Belal Hossain, 25, of Patiya upazilla in Chittagong and Mohammed Shahjahan, 24, of Cox's Bazar, said a press release.
Acting on a tip-off, Kotwali police raided Firingibazar area in the city and arrested the four when they were getting prepared for robbery.
The police seized a locally made shooter gun and two knives from their possession.
